Whether visiting Austin for one of its many famous music festivals, or simply looking for a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Hotel Prost provides a vibrant, contemporary haven for the most discerning of travelers. As "Prost" is the German word "Cheers", the target age demographic for this hotel is people who fall within the 30-50 range. Formed around the principles of the Bauhaus design movement, the concept of the Prost brand consists of a vivid color palette derived from the primaries, a geometric sans serif typeface, and a mid-century modern interior decor scheme. My driving inspiration for the Hotel Prost logo and brand was the work of De Stijl artist Piet Mondrian, a style I feel would effectively attract visitors seeking modern, yet welcoming accommodations.
